The Butte aux Cailles is the highest place on the left bank of Paris after the MOntagne Sainte Geneviève. The top of the Butte is the place Paul Verlaine. The area has a village atmosphere and has not changed much since 1945.
The heart of the village is rue de la Butte aux Cailles and rue des Cinq Diamants. In this area you will find a lot of little houses built between 1910 and 1930 : around the Place de l’Abbé Georges Henocque, in the square du Moulin des Prés and Villa Daviel and in the Cité Daviel.
