I am out of Paris for a couple of days and will be back at the end of April… with news posts about my latest discoveries in Paris to share with you!
Meantime I suggest for those of you who are currently in Paris to rediscover my Top Five Walks as Spring is the ideal season to stroll in the Parisian streets and parks: not too warm, not too busy, and offering beautiful lights. Try them if you have not yet… I am sure that you will love them!
On a beautiful fall day nothing is more pleasant than strolling along the streets and gardens in Paris so as to enjoy the beautiful lights and the fall colours at their best. At this time of year I love the colours of trees in the parks and gardens and the displays of autumn flavours on the Parisian food markets. That is the reason why I am taking you for a walk in my area of Paris, the fifth arrondissement around the so cute Place de la Contrescarpe: from one garden to another, up and down the Montagne Sainte Geneviève, and through the Parisian food market of the Place Monge and the permanent food market of the famous rue Mouffetard. I hope that you will enjoy this 2-hour walk!
If you are currently in Paris it is time to go for a walk in the Jardin des Plantes. This garden is one of the world’s foremost botanical gardens and it offers the widest variety of flowers, plants and trees which can be admired in Paris. And this week… the Japanese cherry trees are in bloom! Once it has started the cherry blossom only last a couple of days. So do not miss it if you can: It is so beautiful! And if one petal falls on you, you will be lucky within the next year!
